I have been teaching Russian Literature International Baccalaureate Diploma program at the United World College in Maastricht for 3 years. Our 2 year program includes various genres of classical and contemporary Russian and foreign literature. To name a few: novels by Hemingway and Kundera, Lermontov and Bulgakov, drama by Chekhov and poetry by Pasternak.
Lessons include discussions, text and style analysis, reviewing essays and other writings. The goal is to guide students through the complex program and prepare structurally for the International Baccalaureate exam Russian Literature. The courses are given to groups or individually, in person and through Skype.
Literature has always been my passion. Sometimes you read a book as a personal letter. Sometimes it is a poem that reveals the right words you were searching for. Close reading and analyzing texts allows us to understand the message, appreciate the author’s choices and open the way to own interpretation. Feel free to contact me for more information.
